Empowering Your Child
We believe that all children can grow, learn, and develop when provided with appropriate guidance and support. Our therapists facilitate children in achieving and fostering the confidence to meet their goals, while maximizing function and independence in school, at home, or the community.
PPT uses current research and evidence based practice to guide therapy sessions and goals. At PPT we strive to be a resource for children and families, while maintaining the highest level of education and professionalism in our field.
Oral motor /feeding therapy
Pediatric oral motor and feeding therapy focuses on enhancing a child's ability to eat, drink, and swallow safely and effectively. This therapy is designed for children with difficulties related to chewing, swallowing, oral coordination, and sensory sensitivities that affect their ability to consume food and liquids. Treatment typically involves exercises to strengthen oral muscles, improve tongue and jaw movement, and enhance sensory awareness in the mouth. Therapists use specialized techniques, tools, and strategies to help children develop the necessary skills for safe and efficient feeding, promoting better nutrition and overall well-being.
SPEECH THERAPY
Speech and language therapy assists individuals in developing effective communication skills by addressing speech sound production, language comprehension, expression, and social communication. This therapy supports those with speech delays, language disorders, apraxia, stuttering, and other communication challenges. Treatment involves individualized exercises, play-based activities, and evidence-based techniques to improve articulation, vocabulary, sentence formation, and social interactions. The goal is to enhance the ability to express thoughts, understand others, and engage in meaningful communication for academic and social success.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Pediatric occupational therapy supports children in developing skills essential for daily activities and fostering independence. It focuses on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and self-care tasks, including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, feeding, and grooming. Through play-based and functional activities, therapy enhances strength, coordination, and adaptive skills to support success in home, school, and social settings
